MCP: John Matthews Begins The Chronicles of Arthur

Prolific Arthurian author John Matthews has recently published Sword of Fire and Ice, the first of a series of Arthurian-themed graphic novels. Following an introduction by Matthews, the book traces the rise of Arthur from his birth to his coronation and incorporates a variety of stories from medieval Arthurian literature and Celtic mythology in creating the magical world that Arthur, through Merlin and the nine sisters of Avalon, interacts with. Overall, the story was interesting, but the art tends to vary in quality.
